Bi-Naam Shop (No Name Shop) won Second Place in the Public Buildings category at the 12th Memar Award with 9 jury points. Designed by Ali Dehghani, Ali Soltani, and Atefeh Karbasi — the same team behind House No. 7 — the shop is located on Bazaar Street in Najafabad. The experience of designing a shop whose function was not yet determined presented a unique challenge. The architects divided the elongated site along the north-south axis into four half-levels, sinking most of the volume underground due to height restrictions. Gentle low-slope stairs encourage movement between levels, while colored lines in a monochrome setting create visual continuity from the colorful entrance frame in the north to the illuminated colored wall with a skylight in the south. The transparent facade creates a dialogue with a historic house across the street, also owned by the client.
