Library of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, Tehran

The Library of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon-e Parvaresh-e Fekri) in Tehran was designed by architect Keyvan Khosravani. The building demonstrates Khosravani's ability to create architecture that speaks to its users -- in this case, children and young people. Its distinctive pink facade and playful geometric forms, including repeating scalloped arches along the upper level, create an inviting and imaginative environment that encourages exploration and learning. The design combines modernist spatial organization with elements drawn from Iranian vernacular architecture.
