Namak Restaurant (Namak Fastfood), joint winner of First Place in Public Buildings at the 12th Memar Award (2012), is located on Afifabad Street, Shiraz. Designed by Alireza Emtiaz, the project earned 12 jury points, tying with Takhte Soleiman Chapel. The design concept draws inspiration from rock salt crystals found in nature, using salt rock as both a structural and aesthetic element. The presence of light and its refraction through salt crystal edges creates a unique spatial quality, with water cascading over salt surfaces in the washroom area to enhance the luminous effect. The transparent facade reflects the historic house across the street, creating a dialogue between modern and traditional architecture.
