Five Plus One, Tehran — 3rd Place: Apartment Buildings

3rd Place: Five Plus One, Tehran Location: Tehran Client: Mohammad Nejati / Design associates: Hossein Ebrahimi, Niloufar Khalili / Structure: Ali Khanmohammadi / Mechanical: Mehdi Ebrahimi Hamid Mirmiran, Sahel Aboutorabian The Five Plus One project was designed with the concept of creating six residential units across five floors plus a basement level. The central idea is a rethinking of apartment living patterns in Tehran. Each unit has a dedicated terrace and private green space that reproduces the feeling of living in a villa-type house within an urban apartment setting. Flexible floor plans and deep terraces enable visual and physical connections between interior and exterior spaces. The building's facade, through a combination of solid and void volumes and the use of natural materials, has sought to give the structure a human and tangible identity.
