22nd Memar Award Jury Report Memar 140, dedicated to the 22nd Memar Award, is in fact the complement to Memar 136 — an unprecedented situation arising from particular social and judging circumstances. Judging Criteria: 1. Creativity and innovation 2. Relationship with context and environment 3. Response to user needs 4. Spatial quality 5. Social commitments It is obvious that the final judgment on each project is not made by scoring it on each of the above criteria and averaging the scores, but by judging it as a whole. Program and Method of Judging Memar Award Projects: Projects are divided into four categories — Apartment Buildings, Individual Dwellings, Public Buildings, and Renovation — and the following stages are followed for each category: 1. All projects in the same category are presented to the jurors simultaneously for review. 2. From the semifinal-stage projects, each juror selects their preferred top projects. 3. Each juror individually selects their first through third place choices from among the finalists. 4. Jurors may declare certain finalists worthy of special commendation. Jury Panel: Mehdi Alizadeh, Cyrus Bavar, Majid Ghamami, Ehsan Hosseini, and Armand Dror Results, Individual Dwellings: 1st Place: Khaneh-ye Daroun (10 points) 2nd Place: Khaneh-ye Doust (7 points) 3rd Place (tied): Ordibehesht Garden House (3 points) and Borj Garden House (3 points) 4th Place: Anar Villa (2 points) 5th Place (tied): Espeh House, Sarostan Villa, Mohammad Ghanavati Building, Villa Zi (1 point each) Results, Apartment Buildings: In the Apartment Buildings category, all jurors agreed that the projects did not meet the required standards compared to other categories. Consequently, the jurors unanimously selected only a third place and one honoured project. Honoured projects: Selection of honoured projects requires the vote of all five jurors.
