2nd Grand Memar Award — Post-Revolution Residential Architecture
The nineteenth issue of Memar is dedicated to the 2nd Grand Me'mar Award for Post-Revolution Residential Architecture. From approximately 100 submitted works in the categories of individual dwellings, apartments, and large residential complexes, the five-member jury — Mehdi Alizadeh, Hadi Mirmiran, Ali Akbar Saremi, Kambiz Nazeramoo, and Kamran Afshar Naderi — selected twenty exemplary works and ranked the top five, with the Sadri Residence in Isfahan by Ghane'i and Sheykholeslam taking first place. The issue also features Eisenman's lecture at the 21st Architecture Congress, Kamran Diba's critique of the oil industry headquarters competition, a study of Austrian 20th-century architecture by Negar Hakim, and a recollection of Hooshang Seyhoon's design for King Nader's Tomb. Sponsored by Superpipe International.
